The Idler Festival: Robert Greer w/ Supriya Kaur Dhaliwal, So Mayer, Makina Books, Prototype and Peninsula Press
Head to the Idler Festival at Fenton House on Saturday 9 July for a very special Independent Publisher Showcase event, featuring Prototype, Makina Books, and Peninsula Press.
The event will see a conversation between the publishers about how and why they do what they do, along with readings from their authors, and an opportunity to ask everything you’ve ever wanted to know and indie publishing.
The authors reading will be Lucy Mercer (Emblem, Prototype, 2022), So Mayer (A Nazi Word For A Nazi Thing, Peninsula Press, 2021), and Supriya Kaur Dhaliwal (The Yak Dilemma, Makina Books, 2021).
Lucy Mercer’s poems have been published widely in magazines and anthologies, including The White Review, Poetry London, Poetry Review, Hotel, The Rialto, and Poetry Wales. She won The White Review‘s inaugural Poetry Prize. Lucy recently completed a PhD where she developed a speculative theory of emblems, and teaches creative writing at Goldsmiths. Emblem, her debut collection, is the Poetry Book Society’s Summer Choice for 2022. Lucy will read as part of the independent publisher showcase with Peninsula Press, Makina Books and Prototype Publishing.
